I’ve been doing needlework since I was a child. I later received formal training at the Royal School of Needlework, earning my Diploma in Technical Hand Embroidery, and I’m now continuing my fiber arts journey as a trainee at the College for Master Kilt Tailors. Standing in my studio one day, surrounded by out-of-print books and a lifetime of accumulated tools and knowledge, I realized none of it would mean anything to whoever found it next, unless I did something about it.Terri Michele King, Founder & Executive Director
We’re building four things: a lending library of rare, out-of-print, and multilingual fiber arts books, now past 2,500 books, patterns, and tools and growing through generous donations; a working studio offering commissions and custom work; education programs; and curated exhibitions. The studio is open now. The library opens to members in October 2026. Education and exhibitions follow in 2027.
