Accessibility

Our Website

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. The site supports keyboard navigation, includes a skip-to-content link, uses text alternatives for meaningful images, respects your device’s reduced-motion setting in our library animation, and uses color combinations chosen for readable contrast.

Some features are provided by other services, including our Substack journal and sign-up forms, Zeffy donation forms, Google Forms, the embedded map, and our library catalog. We choose accessible tools where we can, but we don’t control their design. If any of them gets in your way, contact us and we’ll help another way.

Our Studio and Library

• We are at 2000 Edwards St, Studio 302, Houston, TX 77007, in Silver Street Studios at Sawyer Yards.
• Studio 302 is reachable by stairs or ramp.
• The entry, main studio area, and restrooms are ADA-compliant.
• Parking is in the main Sawyer Yards lot.
• Visits are by appointment, so we can prepare for any accommodation you need.
• Members who can’t visit in person can borrow most books by mail.
