Terms of Use

Last updated September 25, 2026

These terms apply to your use of fiberartshouston.org (the “site”), operated by Fiber Arts Houston, a Texas nonprofit corporation and 501(c)(3) organization (EIN 42-2979986). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

Using the Site

You may browse the site and share its pages for personal, educational, and noncommercial purposes. Please don’t misuse the site: no attempts to disrupt it, gain unauthorized access, scrape it at a volume that burdens it, or use it to send spam or unlawful content.

Our Content

Text, photographs, logos, and graphics on the site belong to Fiber Arts Houston or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You’re welcome to quote short passages with credit and a link. Media may use the materials on our Press page in coverage of FAH. Book titles, covers, and descriptions belong to their respective owners.

Library Memberships and Lending

Subscribing to Twist & Ply on Substack is free. Library memberships are purchased and managed through Substack as paid subscriptions, and borrowing is governed by our library lending policies, which members accept when they join. Substack’s own terms apply to subscriptions and payments. Lending categories, loan periods, deposits, and mail availability are set by the library and may change. A borrowing membership can’t be cancelled while any books, tools, or equipment are checked out; once everything is returned, it can be cancelled.

Donations

  • Online financial gifts are processed by Zeffy and are subject to Zeffy’s terms. Any optional contribution you choose to add at checkout goes to Zeffy, not to FAH.
  • Donations are generally final and non-refundable. If you believe a gift was made in error, contact us promptly and we’ll do our best to help.
  • Donated items become the property of FAH. We decide how best to use them, which may include adding them to the collection, using them in the studio or classes, or selling materials that don’t fit the collection to fund more book and equipment acquisitions, or donating them to other nonprofits. You may ask to have excess materials returned at your shipping cost.
  • Gifts are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. We provide receipts but cannot give tax advice or appraise donated items; please consult your own advisor.

Links and Third-Party Services

The site links to and embeds services we don’t control, including Substack, Zeffy, Google, Instagram, and our library catalog. We aren’t responsible for their content or practices.

Disclaimers

We work to keep information on the site accurate, but program details, dates, and pricing can change. The site is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fiber Arts Houston is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the site.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here.
